These wines are great for winter - dark, rich and spicy - and after conversations with a few happy Priorat customers this week we thought "hey, let's do a Priorat tasting!" What makes this small appellation southwest of Barcelona so unique is the soil – a wild-looking broken black slate called llicorella that gives good Priorat reds an unmistakable minerally spicy note that is a perfect foundation for the dark, rich fruit. We'll pour current favorites from Alvaro Palacios, Vall Llach, Cellar Cecilio and more.
Friday Jan 31, 5 - 7 pm, $20. No reservation required
